Temporary closing of Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness Drop-in Community Center

Press release from Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness:

Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness has temporarily closed its Drop-in Community Center from the Westgate Shopping Center and are in the process of finding a new location. All other programs besides its Drop-In Community Center remain unaffected by this decision and will continue un-interrupted.

During the relocation process, Sunrise will continue its services through various outreach locations in collaboration with partner agencies. Currently, its outreach schedule is as follows, but please stay tuned to its social media channels as it continue to expand the schedule:

Mondays/Thursdays/Fridays 9AM-11AM at AHOPE Day Center and 11AM-1:00PM at 12 Baskets Cafe
Tuesdays 9AM-12PM at AHOPE Day Center
Wednesdays 10AM-1PM at Haywood St. Congregation

Sunrise has faced similar situations in the past, and has always demonstrated resilience and adaptability without compromising its integrity. Its primary focus remains on providing comprehensive whole-person wellness support to its community.     I’m so grateful for Sunrise Community. They have gone above and beyond to help me get through homelessness and my substance use issues. In times of little or no hope, I could always get hope through the staff and peers at Sunrise Community.
