Fourth National Climate Assessment Panel Discussion
Thursday, January 24, 4:30 to 6:00 pmWhat do the findings of the fourth National Climate Assessment mean for western North Carolina and the Southeast? Join us at The Collider on January 24 to hear from local scientists and experts, many of whom worked directly with the assessment. Discover more about their work here in, Climate City, get an introduction to the assessment, and learn how the southeastern U.S. will be affected by climate change.
The panel discussion is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person. The Collider will provide light refreshments.
Unbounded: A Journey into Patagonia
Thursday, January 31, 6:30 to 9:00 pmCome out and enjoy a great film with us while supporting a worthy cause. We’ll be featuring Unbounded, an adventure-travel documentary following a young, unaided crew of four as they hike and pack-raft for four months in the infinite region known as Patagonia.
The event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person or $20 per family. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the film will begin at 7:00 pm. A panel discussion with the film’s director, producer, and cinematographer Garrett Martin will follow the screening.
The Collider will provide light refreshments and proceeds will benefit our Thomas R. Karl Internship Program.
