The Asheville Area Arts Council’s annual color ball fundraiser has been around since 1952 (then known as the Beaux Arts Ball). The year’s color is tangerine, and this year’s event will be held at the Orange Peel on Saturday, Sept. 15.
According to the event’s website, “Proceeds from the Color Ball directly support AAAC’s year-round programming, newly re-vitalized to enhance the capacity and impact of the local creative sector. The mission of the Asheville Areas Arts Council is to unify established creative professionals and organizations into a collaborative and thriving sector, to cultivate emerging grassroots entrepreneurs through direct financial support and access to opportunities, and to enhance the profile and visibility of our unique culture.”
Entertainment and ticket prices will be announced at http://ashevillearts.com.
