TTimes: Former inn to house Brevard College students

Students of Brevard College will have a new option for off-campus housing this fall following the announcement of a housing complex to be constructed in one of the units of the former Rodeway Inn, according to the Transylvania Times.

The complex – named Holly Cottage, according to a Brevard College press release – will house approximately 38 students for the 2014-2015 school year. The deal involves a long-term lease between the college and Brevard Partners of Tennessee, the agency that purchased the property in late February.

Each of the newly refurbished, climate-controlled rooms will accommodate two students and include a private bathroom. Residents will have access to an upgraded common area, including a gathering space and classroom. A College Campus Life residential director and a student assistant will also live on site.

College officials said they are excited to see the student body continuing to grow and glad to be able to provide such convenient student housing.
