The N.C. Center for Health and Wellness welcomes Shellie Pfohl as part of Well-A-Bration 2013. Shellie was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as executive director of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition. She manages the activities and operations of the Council and leads the Council’s efforts related to First Lady Michelle Obama’s national Let’s Move! initiative.

The meeting also will include a panel discussion and questions from the audience. Representatives from UNC Asheville, Youth Empowered Solutions (YES!), Buncombe County Department of Health and Western North Carolina Healthy Kids will participate on the panel.

The event is free and open to the public. A photo opportunity will be available at the end of the event. Bring your smartphones and share your experience on your social media platforms.
