UPDATE: APD seeks help to locate Dwight Bailey

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

UPDATE (January 17, 2022): Dwight Lee Bailey has been located and arrested. Bailey is currently at the Buncombe County Detention Center being held on a $11,000 secure bond.

The Asheville Police Department is asking the public’s help to locate Dwight Bailey. He has open warrants for Sex Offender on Minors Premises, Communicating Threats, and Second Degree Trespassing. His charges are related to a recent incident at a local church. If anyone sees Bailey, call 911 immediately.

Bailey is described as a white male, 58 yoa, 5’9″, 155 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes. He is known to often be in the area of Patton Avenue near the Jeff Bowen Bridge and Leicester Highway.
