US Representative McHenry to visit Asheville Thursday

Press advisory from the office of Representative McHenry:

Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10), the Chief Deputy Whip, announced today that he will be in Asheville on Thursday, August 20th for three visits around the city. Congressman McHenry will begin the day by visiting DIgitalChalk at 10:45 AM. That afternoon, he will tour AB Technical Community College at 2 PM and conclude the day by visiting UNC School of Medicine Asheville at 3:30 PM.

Originally founded in Asheville in 2006, DigitalChalk provides clients with a comprehensive, cloud-based online educational experience. During his visit, Congressman McHenry will learn about their offerings and tour the facility. DigitalChalk is located at 2 Town Square Boulevard in Asheville.

During his visit to AB Technical Community College, Congressman McHenry will meet with Dr. Dennis King, AB Tech’s President. Following the meeting he will tour the campus. AB Tech is located at 340 Victoria Road in Asheville.

Congressman McHenry will conclude the day by visiting the UNC School of Medicine Asheville’s combined campus with Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC). UNC School of Medicine Asheville originally began as a collaboration between the UNC School of Medicine, MAHEC, and Mission Health in July of 2009. Congressman McHenry will tour the campus which currently is home to ten medical students. The visit will begin at the MAHEC Campus’ Education Building located at 121 Hendersonville Road in Asheville.
