Press release from Buncombe County Health & Human Services:
Safe, effective, and free COVID-19 vaccines will be available near you on Monday, October 4.
Through a partnership with Buncombe County, the FEMA Mobile Vaccination Team, and MAHEC’s WNC Regional Vaccine Coordination Effort, all three COVID-19 vaccines and the Pfizer booster will be available at these convenient locations: Enka High School, Erwin High School, and North Buncombe High School from 12 pm – 6pm. The locally funded $100 vaccine incentive cards will be available for those 18 and older who are getting their first dose at any of these mobile events. The $25 transporter cards will be available to people 18 and older who transport someone to the vaccination clinic to receive their first dose of the vaccine. Both incentive cards are available while supplies last.
A COVID-19 vaccine is a great way to get your body in shape to fight off the full force of COVID-19 and related variants. The vaccines work with the body to help provide an extra strong protective shield against the full force of the virus. Let’s help keep our community protected by getting a safe and highly effective COVID-19 vaccine.
No appointment needed. Minors age 12 to 15 will need to have a parent/guardian with them to sign the consent form for the vaccine. Please wear a mask to the vaccination events.
