Press release

Well-Bred Bakery put Weaverville, North Carolina in the spotlight last month. The bakery was profiled by TRAVEL + LEISURE magazine as one of “15 Amazing Small Town Bakeries” in its September issue and on line newsletter.

Journalist Nevin Martell wrote: “This warm and welcoming corner bakery brims with freshly baked delights, such as cinnamon streusel coffeecake, fluffy cheese biscuits, and gigantic, cream-filled éclairs covered in dark chocolate.”

“The Well-Bred team is thrilled to be recognized by Travel + Leisure,” said owner Judy Glicken. We work very hard to provide exceptional hand crafted edibles, and the recognition from Travel + Leisure makes us feel we are doing it right.”

Travel + Leisure is a one-stop resource for sophisticated travelers who crave travel tips, news and information about the most exciting destinations in the world, according to their website. It boasts an audience of over 15 million.

Weaverville has been Well-Bred Bakery’s home for the past 14 years. A second location opened June 2014 in Biltmore Village. Both locations are open seven days a week. More info at http://www.wellbredbakery.com.
