Press release from Western Carolina Rescue Ministries:
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) is pleased to announce its newest response to the Covid-19 Pandemic; compassion kits. These kits are to help individuals living on the streets combat sickness and be more prepared for illness if it does occur.
Each kit will contain basic PPE items such as disposable masks, hand sanitizer and latex gloves, along with items to help with possible sickness including cough drops, lip balm, tissue, water, granola bars, rain ponchos and band aids. Two hundred of these kits will be distributed.
WCRM strives to help vulnerable individuals to be as prepared as possible for the colder weather and additional exposure to germs and illness that they may face in the coming months.
We want to give a special thanks to Elevation Church Asheville, for their donation of hand sanitizers, as well as Fellowship Church Asheville for assembling the kits.
If you have questions, wish to donate, or would like to volunteer, you can obtain more information by calling Western Carolina Rescue Ministries at 828-254-1529.
