Community organizations working to improve WNC’s local food system will meet and discuss their work with members of the Asheville-Buncombe Food Policy Council and the public, according to a post on Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project’s website
The session will be held at UNCA’s Wilma Sherrill Center on Aug. 24 from 2-5 p.m.
Participating groups include ASAP, MANNA, Blue Ridge Food Ventures, WNC Grow, Bountiful Cities, Buncombe County Dept. of Health & Human Services, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Lord’s Acre, Black Mountain Health Initiative, Carolina Farm Stewardship, ABCCM, Organic Growers School.
