WLOS: Area schools receive multiple bomb threats

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — Thursday marks the third bomb threat this week at Charles D. Owen High School. A total of six bomb threats have been reported at area schools just this week. One at Tuscola High School, two at McDowell High School and now three at Charles D. Owen High School.

Detectives with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged a 16-year-old student late Wednesday afternoon in one of the bomb threats at McDowell High. The 10th grade female student is charged with felony making a false bomb report.
