Zine reading and Tall Tall Trees performance at Downtown Books & News, Nov. 12

Press release from event organizers:

We’re Katie and Joe, a zine-making couple from Philadelphia, and we’re about to go on tour. We’re excited to announce our show at Downtown Books & News. Saturday, November 12th, 6-8pm. Free!

• Performing with us will be Asheville-based musician Tall Tall Trees, aka Mike Savino. He’ll be playing his unique brand of experimental banjo music in between and after our readings.

Katie Haegele’s third book, a collection of illustrated stories about cats, will come out next year from punk publisher Microcosm. She’ll read stories from that book, and from some of her zines.

Joseph Carlough is a zine maker and indie press publisher who will be performing his music and poetry using a loop pedal. He will have lots of zines for sale.
