Position Summary:

The Community Prevention Coordinator creates, schedules, and facilitates sexual violence prevention programs for businesses, organizations, and groups in the community. Your programs will mainly focus on DFSA-intervention and anti-sexual harassment for businesses, bystander intervention for community groups, and consent education for youth groups. You will be responsible for collecting and evaluating data from these programs then updating programs as needed.

As the Community Prevention Coordinator, you will also be expected to build and strengthen community relationships and expand our prevention efforts throughout the community. One way you will do this is by working closely with an international research team to evaluate the effectiveness of and expand the reach of our Bar Outreach Project.

You will also be encouraged, but not required to fill shifts on our 24/7 crisis hotline for survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking.

The program provides specialized training to volunteer tutors to work with K-5th grade students behind grade level in reading. We prioritize students of color by working in collaboration with local after-school programs. Students receive instruction two hours a week, using evidence-based Wilson Reading/Orton-Gillingham learning principles, combined with multi-sensory reading games and activities.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct volunteer tutor training multiple times per year
Provide ongoing support for tutors and conduct periodic in-services
