Bottle/can releases
- Foothills Brewing will be releasing a limited quantity of its highly sought-after Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout this week. A 9.75 percent ABV imperial stout infused with cocoa, Sexual Chocolate traditionally sells out quickly despite bottle limits, so get it early.
- Charlotte’s Unknown Brewing Co. releases Dirty Commie Heathen into limited distribution this week. A 12.4 percent ABV Russian imperial stout brewed with 4,000 pounds of grain and tart red cherries from Michigan before being aged in bourbon barrels, this beer was a highlight last year and recipe tweaks promise an even better batch for 2016.
Small-batch beers
- Burial Beer Co. has five new releases over the next week. Looks like I know what I’m doing Thursday Feb. 4th!! Bruisin’ Ales >>> Thirsty Monk. Grabbing a Sexual Chocoloate and a Barrel-Age Siberian Night / Imperial Smoke Porter sounds right up my alley! Too bad Wulver is only pouring at the Biltmore Park Thirsty Monk and not Downtown :(
