MountainX.com has been undergoing a major redesign over the last few months, but we’ve held off updating the movies page. As one of the most-visited sections of the site—not to mention having one of the most-complex designs—we felt that our movies section merited some extra attention. Today, after weeks of design and testing, we’re relaunching the page with a new, faster-loading design.
In coming weeks, we’ll be adding additional elements to the movie section, including an improved movie schedule and user ratings for movies.
As with any major site change, we encourage you to leave comments, bug reports and suggestions on our Feedback page.
Thanks for reading through to the end…
We share your inclination to get the whole story. For the past 25 years, Xpress has been committed to in-depth, balanced reporting about the greater Asheville area. We want everyone to have access to our stories. That’s a big part of why we've never charged for the paper or put up a paywall.
We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.
Here we are two years later and it still sucks.
“Here we are two years later and it still sucks.”
How do you get away with saying this and not get fired?
Ha, I had the same reaction.
If I get fired for noting — as I’ve done since the beginning — that the no-longer-new web site isn’t good, I will be surprised. But I suppose it’s possible.
Ken won’t get fired because no one is reading it.
You just did.
Hee hee. Ken can get away with it because he probably generates the most hits.
I just go straight to the comments. I don’t read the articles.
That probably describes a lot of people.
I do seriously doubt that anyone’s paying much attention to this page. By that I mean anyone who might chastise me for saying that.
How’s that union thing coming?
It has nothing to do with me or the problems with the website.
I think Barry is just testing who is reading this page.
It’s the kind of test I don’t need.
Shtum it is.
