Wild Wing Cafe in South Asheville will host a viewing party at 10 p.m. Sunday, June 26, for the AMC television show “Ride with Norman Reedus.” The June 26 episode will feature the moonshiners of Woodfin’s Howling Moon Distillery.

“We’re all going to be there. We’ll meet and greet with people and do autographs,” says Howling Moon’s Cody Bradford, who adds that he plans to arrive around 8 p.m. to allow plenty of time to talk with people before the show airs. Along with the viewing party, Howling Moon is also planning some upcoming autograph signings at ABC stores in Asheville, Woodfin and Weaverville.

“Ride with Norman Reedus” follows “The Walking Dead” star as he travels the country by motorcycle, exploring the local biker culture as he makes stops everywhere from tattoo parlors to bike shops. He now adds a distillery to that list as well.

“It was pretty surreal, to be honest with you,” says Bradford, who says he is a fan of Reedus. “All of us are huge ‘Walking Dead’ fans. I was really shocked.”

Bradford remains tight-lipped regarding the details of the upcoming episode, but says that although Reedus travels with a large film crew and personal security guards, he is a down-to-earth, personable guy. “He was amazing; he’s unreal. He’s the coolest guy you’ve probably ever met in your life,” Bradford says. “He just talked to everybody.”

Prior to filming, Reedus’s security team investigated each location to ensure there were no surprises. “He’s like the president,” says Bradford.

The “Ride with Norman Reedus” production went smoothly, Bradford says. Howling Moon has also been featured in an episode of the Discovery television series “Moonshiners.” The 13-hour shoot for that episode, says Bradford, took twice as long as filming with Reedus.

“They had 35 guys that showed up to do this,” Bradford says. “It was just a different experience. With ‘Moonshiners’ there were three guys, so that took more time to get everything set up.”

The viewing party will be held at Wild Wing Cafe, 65 Long Shoals Road, Sunday, June 26, at 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Howling Moon Distillery will also hold autograph signings at the following ABC locations :
