Precauciones en caso de inundacion aconsejadas por la Cruz Roja del Condado Buncombe y la Oficina de Manejo de Emergencias del Condado Henderson:

1. Este preparado para evacuar rapidamente y conserve la calma.

2. Conozca la ruta por la que debe abandonar su hogar en caso de emergencia y no conduzca por vias inundadas. Una inundacion de un pie de altura es suficiente para mover un auto.

3. Siempre lleve con usted un equipo para desastres que esta compuesto por:

• Botiquin de Primeros Auxilios

• Suficiente comida no perecedera (Enlatados, granos, etc.)

• Tres galones de agua diarios por persona

• Linterna con baterias extra

• Radio transistor con baterias extra para escuchar las noticias y los avisos locales

4. Tenga el numero de telefono de un amigo o familiar que viva en un lugar a salvo de inundaciones. Deles este numero a todos los miembros de su familia para que en caso de que se separen esta sea la persona a la que recurran para tener informacion de los demas y reencontrarse.

5. Lleve con usted un celular y tarjetas telefonicas en caso de que su telefono movil no funcione.

6. Siga las instrucciones de los organismos de socorro.

7. Para cualquier pregunta o para pedir ayuda, llame a la linea bilingue de emergencias del Gobernador de NC — que estara activada desde manana jueves, 16 septiembre, 2004 — al 1-888-835-9966.
