• Oct. 23: League of Women Voters; 7-9 p.m.; Temple Beth Ha-Tephila (43 N. Liberty St.); candidates for state Senate District 28 and House District 51.
• Oct. 26: Council of Independent Business Owners “Power Lunch”; noon; Stephens-Lee Community Center; candidates for Buncombe County Board of Commissioners. (NEED TO VERIFY WHETHER THIS IS ON OCT. 25 or 26 — CONFLICTING REPORTS)
