After the voting, there’s the afterparty

After you vote, reward yourself for doing your civic duty. Celebrate with the local candidates and political parties or watch the results while enjoying food and drink specials at Asheville eateries. Here are the gatherings we know about so far. If you know something we don’t, leave a comment, and we’ll add your spot to the list.

Buncombe County Democratic Watch Party

The Buncombe County Democratic Party will host an election night party with local Democratic candidates and supporters at Pack’s Tavern in downtown Asheville. The even begins at 8:00 P.M. and the public is welcome.

Buncombe County Republican Watch Parties

In Buncombe County, Republican candidates and supporters are gathering at Magnolias Raw Bar & Grill in downtown Asheville and at the Hilton in Biltmore Park. The gathering at Biltmore Park is being organized by 11th District GOP congressional candidate Mark Meadows. As of this writing, the Buncombe County Republican Party hadn’t responded to a request for more details on the get togethers.
