The Asheville Police Department is looking for Destiny Lynn Reifschneider, last seen in South Asheville Thursday, Aug. 25.

ASHEVILLE – On August 27, 2011 Asheville Police took a Missing Person report for Destiny Lynn Reifschneider. Ms. Reifschneider was last seen on Thursday August 25 in South Asheville on Caribou Rd. Ms. Reifschneider brown Plymouth Van was located on Saturday evening, (Aug 27) with a flat tire in the parking lot of Mcdonalds in Biltmore. On Sunday (Aug 28) Asheville Police and Asheville Fire Department searched the river and the area surrounding the Soccer Complex on Azalea Rd in East Asheville and located a prescription bottle belonging to Ms. Reifschneider.

The Hendersonville woman whose body found beside the Swannanoa River in late August died of amphetamine toxicity, according to the N.C. Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police found the body of 28-year-old Destiny Lynn Reifschneider face down on a riverbank four days after she had been reported missing, the autopsy report states.
Asheville police recovered the body on Aug. 31.
The autopsy report indicates there were no significant internal or external injuries.
