The city of Asheville will host a public forum concerning Bele Chere in the Asheville Civic Center Banquet Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. The event is the third in a series of Goals for Asheville Forums and will afford residents a chance to offer props, grieve, gripe, grumble or suggest ways to improve the city’s largest hoohah.
“The Bele Chere board wants to get feedback from the citizens so we can incorporate the community’s vision into planning for this year’s festival,” said Debi Smith, Bele Chere Advisory board chair. “Citizen input is key to the festival’s success.”
Results from the forum will be compiled and posted on the city Web site.
In related news: Applications for musicians are due Jan. 26, and for artists, Feb. 2. Information and applications are available at the Bele Chere site.
