Help Xpress report on the URTV board meeting

Thursday’s meeting of the URTV board will deal with a number of controversial issues, and Xpress is inviting attendees to assist our reporting on the events by joining in on the MXNow Twitter feed.

The URTV meeting may involve the dismissal of two board members who have been critical of the station’s management, as well as further discussion of the board’s compliance with state open-meetings law — a controversial issue over the past month.

Attendees with a Twitter account are invited to send on news of the meeting’s progress by including the hashtag #mxnow after their posts. Xpress requests that posts cover only the goings-on at the meeting, and leave commentary about the events to the forums or elsewhere. (What’s Twitter, you ask? Before you comment

The comments section is here to provide a platform for civil dialogue on the issues we face together as a local community. Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate. Xpress editors are determined to moderate comments to ensure a constructive interchange is maintained. All comments judged not to be in keeping with the spirit of civil discourse will be removed and repeat violators will be banned. See here for our terms of service. Thank you for being part of this effort to promote respectful discussion.
