In photos: Asheville residents get creative with Halloween decoration displays

It’s gearing up to be a Halloween like no other, but the creativity of Asheville residents hasn’t changed. Gardens have transformed into graveyards, lawns are temporarily inhabited by ghosts and skeletons stand at the ready to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

Xpress photographer Cindy Kunst spent a night on the prowl for the spookiest decoration displays in West Asheville and Canton neighborhoods. Be warned: Cobwebs and disembodied, blood-covered limbs lie ahead!
