My applause goes to Commissioner [Miranda] DeBruhl for standing up for taxpayers in the Deschutes [Brewery] case.
Taxpayers are tired of being forced to perform circus tricks for corporate blackmailers. It is a good first step toward ending the con game, where companies make their money by extorting taxpayers rather than earning it.
I support her efforts to end this reverse Robin Hood policy of stealing from the poor and giving to the rich corporations. I’m glad to see that at least she represents the interests of taxpayers rather than corporate extortionists.
I wish the rest of the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners would follow her example.

Debruhl has ended her political Future…. PERIOD

You mean standing up for tax payers by playing Tea Party whistleblower in an attempt to bolster her candidacy? And losing ~160 jobs in Buncombe County with her ineptitude?

I guess the letter writer doesn’t realize that Buncombe County would have gotten a big portion of that money back via property paid by Deschutes, sales taxes paid for by the employees hired by Deschutes, and the over contribution to the local economy.
Miranda DeBruhl: job killer.

“Taxpayers are tired of being forced to perform circus tricks for corporate blackmailers.” Give me a break. You don’t speak for this taxpayer. I disagree with the opinion.
