The National MS Society would like to thank the people of Asheville for their support of Walk MS: Asheville on April 21. Approximately 400 walkers and 40 volunteers came together to raise funding and awareness to fight multiple sclerosis — an unpredictable, often disabling neurological disease with no cure. The support of this community makes it possible for the National MS Society, Greater Carolinas Chapter, to assist 13,500 people living with MS in 128 counties of North Carolina and South Carolina through research funding, educational programming and other services.
So far, Walk MS: Asheville has brought in $17,000, bringing us closer to a world free of MS and exceeding our goal of $15,000. To learn more about multiple sclerosis, the walk or to make a donation, visit http://www.walkingforMS.org.
