Forrester, the Klan and Hitler: brothers under the skin?

Hate-spewing bigots in churches and politics use the Bible to explain away contempt for certain segments of society — most commonly blacks and homosexuals. Likewise, Adolf Hitler used Mein Kampf to justify the massacre of millions of Jews and homosexuals during his reign of horror. The Ku Klux Klan thumped the Bible over the decades to attract killers, psychos and hangmen. (I should know: I interviewed the Klan’s Grand Dragon, Robert Shelton, when I was a reporter in Wilmington, N.C., in 1965.)

Sen. James Forrester and his ilk grasp the Bible to explain their social intolerance, too. Take away their clothes and you may find that Hitler, the Klan, Forrester and company are all brothers under the skin. They all use a book to justify their intolerance.

Perhaps if we undesirables moved to Forrester’s hometown of Gastonia he would wave his arms over us undesirables in welcome — but only if we terminated the qualities that he despises.

I think you have some of your alliances confused. The American Nazi Party, as an example, has endorsed and supports the radical left “Occupy Wall Street” cluster. The assorted anti-Semitism examples expressed by the same crowd puts them in closer company with “Hitler” than any Christian pastor or congregation I know of.
Your letter just reeks of animosity without any clear direction or purpose other than to rail against Christianity through fallacious and false comparisons to a couple of monstrous men. Perhaps if you just tore a few of your clothes and threw dust in the air you could get it all out of your system. Have a beer and let your pulse come down a bit.

So you’ve extricated your head from whatever Fox ‘News’ blowhard’s rear end it’s been domiciled in, eh, and felt it your duty to continue to spread blatant lies? The reported “anti-Semitism’ was one young Jew berating an older Jew, but Faux News didn’t mentino that. As for the rest of the propaganda campaign…

“Conservative media have jumped over the story of the American Nazi Party supporting Occupy Wall Street.

It all started last week, when the party’s chairman Rocky Suhayda praised the protests, saying, “My heart is right there with these people.”

Seeing that as an opportunity to paint the movement as somehow representative of Nazism, conservative blogger Jim Hoft, along with the Fox News editorial site Fox Nation, have done just that by promoting the Nazi’s quote on their sites.

The fascist’s quote even reached so far as Fox News proper on Monday evening, where Special Report host Bret Baier was perfectly fine with giving publicity to Nazis. Baier also mentioned that that the “99 Percent” movement has been praised by the Socialist Party U.S.A, the Communist party U.S.A, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Iran’s supreme leader… Which is not to say those voices in any way represent the rapidly growing sector of Americans who support “Occupy Wall Street,” naturally.

In truth, much as the global economy touches everyone differently, virtually everyone at the protests has their own reasons for joining. Hundreds have published their motivations for protesting on a website called “We Are the 99 Percent,” but Fox News apparently hasn’t noticed.”

Oh, and to add…in October of 2008, as first announced on Fox ‘News’, Al Queda endorsed John McCain for President. They endorsed Bush the Lesser in his second bid for preznut too. Does that mean John McCain is a sleeper terrorist? Or that George Bush was tainted by the endorsement? If you buy Fox’s weasely hit job on the Occupy Wall Street movement, then surely you accept that McCain and Bush were/are terrorists, or at least terrorist sympathizers.

How, in the name of God, did the theme of this letter–how demagogues use the Bible to justify their hatred against gays and blacks–become so railroaded into this demented diatribe about Nazis on Occupied Wall Street? This letter was purely about how a book like the Bible can be distorted to follow the demented reasonings of demented leaders–from Hitler, The Ku Klux Klan and modern hate bigots like particular Republicans like Sen. Jame Forrester and his ilk. This has to be the most demented response to a letter that I’ve ever read. Read the damned letter again! Respond to the letter–and not to your own bizarre imaginings!

Tangents. Can’t live with them and the world doesn’t spin without them.
