Forest City and Spindale deserve MX

I would think that listening to your thousands of customers and potential advertisers in the Forest City/Spindale market would be something you would take to heart as it pertains to the distribution of Mountain Xpress [“Come Back, MX,” Feb. 18].

Steve Neely and his wife, Carol, are savvy small-business owners who have the pulse of their community—two towns that are both dynamic and progressive and one that you seemingly consider to be a fringe area.

While I doubt your advertisers derive any positive impact from distribution in “out locations” like Andrews, Cherokee, Greenville and Columbia, delivery in Forest City and Spindale makes good business sense. Not only do you have Plum Natural Market and Barley’s, but other locations come to mind—like The Foundation at ICC, the Student Center at ICC, the lobby of WNCW-FM. There you have it! Five locations and counting.
