Keever has the depth and know-how

I was ecstatic when I learned Patsy Keever was running for the N.C. House. I have observed Patsy under various circumstances — from playfully entertaining my almost-6-year-old daughter, to passionately presenting to a roomful of women the needs of those in our community, to enthusiastically training and participating in a triathlon. From her years as an educator and service as a Buncombe County Commissioner, Patsy has effectively demonstrated her people skills and political strength.

Patsy Keever has my vote for N.C. House. Patsy is the candidate to represent eastern Buncombe County. She has the right depth and know-how to serve our district without missing a beat.

I live in Oakley and received several pieces of mail asking for my support for Bruce Goforth in the election on May 4. I previously voted for him, but not this time. Patsy Keever has my vote for N.C. House.

I’m voting for Goforth. Keever has not presented strong evidence that she will be more effective than Goforth. All I keep hearing is that she was a teacher.

The strength of Keever, is that she votes according to how those she represents vote. She listens, thinks and acts by that premise. Goforth connives, collects voting PACS and “endorsements”, then calls in the favors to push issues that best serve his power base or the business of development (how he makes his living. NO THANKS Goforth!! We’ll vote for Keever.

Why do so many rich loiwyers in Rawleigh send her so much money? WHAT do THEY want from her?

I just pulled up the contributions list for Patsy Keever. They are required by law to keep this current. I don’t see, anywhere, at any time, that Ms. Keever had large numbers of lawyers contributing to her campaign. And “rich” isn’t a designation on ony of the records, so I don’t see how you concluded that “fact”. Goforth, on the other hand has contributions listed from numerous PACs and other special-interest groups. Judging by the records, Goforth is the one heavily connected to people and groups likely to expect favors in return.
