Imagine health practitioners practicing for the good of the whole instead of their egos! Guess what? Sliding scale, well-trained acupuncturists are now available—yep, here in our own beautiful Asheville.
So for those of us who work the standard two to three jobs required to live here, this is great—no, stupendous news! It is called Asheville Community Acupuncture, [located] on Haywood Road in West Asheville: a group of three very caring, qualified women. And it as low as $15 per treatment!
Now can we say a very loud “yay”? As someone who is not privy to much in the way of health treatments, this is such a relief—both for my pocketbook and body!
So I am asking other practitioners to consider this thought: Since we all need to survive, how much do we really need in order to make it more accessible to all? And if Asheville is indeed trying to start a truly new paradigm, can more practitioners practice the idea of community?
Let’s make sure we support the very positive ideals of this undertaking. Kudos to Asheville Community Acupuncture for making the idea of community come home to roost. I, for one, am very grateful!
