For all the times I’ve trudged to my polling station, engaged in half-hearted conversation about how the lesser of two evils really is a lot less evil, it brings me enormous pleasure to have an exceptional candidate to inspire me to vote this midterm election.
Because Susan Fisher’s legislative record speaks for itself, I would like to take a moment to speak to the less easily quantifiable, but equally important, issue of character. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of speaking with Representative Susan Fisher in a number of different contexts. Each time, I have been struck by how profoundly authentic, thoughtful and kind she is. She is a remarkably good listener (it really isn’t just a campaign slogan!) and she is extremely receptive to new ideas and feedback from her constituents.
Susan Fisher is committed to protecting and expanding civil rights for all people, she is a fierce advocate for education, and she knows that economic and environmental health and sustainability must go hand and hand. Whereas many policymakers throw the environment under the bus in tough economic times in the name of development and growth, Representative Susan Fisher knows that this approach is shortsighted at best. For all the times we’ve hoped a politician had our best interest at heart and crossed our fingers that they wouldn’t sell us down the river in the name of political expediency, Susan Fisher is, in fact, the “real deal.” She is a human being of exceptional character and integrity.
Never have I had such profound trust in an elected official.

Susan must be in trouble. Lindsely Simerly organized 50 canvassers for her last weekend, she’s had a barrage of letters (more than Whilden and Keever), and voter interest is way down in the 114th district.
Will Suzy make it?
John Carroll is a longtime educator who is far more qualified to lead now that democrats have bankrupted NC.
Relieve us of 112 years of total democrat domination and vote John Carroll this time!
Right you are Bunky. Susan Fisher needs to come back home and get a non government job and earn an honest living like most of us do.
