I recently lost my wallet on a bike ride from West Asheville to Montford. With only a few days until I was leaving town on a long trip to New York, it was extra stressful. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from the police telling me they had it!
Someone found my wallet near Three Brothers Restaurant, and one of the restaurant employees walked across the street and turned it in at the Sheriff’s Office. It still had everything in it, including a $20 bill. To whomever found it and turned it in: Thank you! It was a wonderful reminder of why I will not stay in Manhattan, but will return to Asheville where things like this still happen. Thanks again to the Good Samaritan, and I will certainly pass your kindness along to someone else when I find myself in a position to do so.
