There’s nothing festive about this tree-trimming

How many of you are shocked at the poor quality of the trim jobs done along our roads and highways? The way the N.C. Division of Highways’ Bush Hogs massacre the trees and bushes is deplorable. When they recently vandalized the trees in our neighborhood, leaving them shredded, mangled and lying all over the ground and streets, I called to complain and was told that it was a standard trim job.

Don’t wait for them to trash your roadside flora. Tell them now that their work is unacceptable. Call 649-2222 in Madison County or 682-3355 in our region, or go to https://apps.dot.state.nc.us/contactus/PostComment.aspx?Unit=PIO.
