Listen. With all the hoopla about who gets to be our next president, don’t lose sight of where the real power is: Congress! And, our politicians on both sides have failed us miserably. So why do we keep electing the same ones over and over again? Thomas Jefferson did not mean for politics to be a career path. It is meant to be a public service, like jury duty. You serve a term, and then you go back to your private life. Career politicians, left and right, are to blame for all of our troubles. Let me illustrate.
The right botched the war against terror: After 9/11, we had to do something, but this, as we all know, is a disaster. The global financial meltdown rests squarely on the shoulders of the left. Don’t believe me? Just look it up. Both parties own the gas and energy crisis. They have done absolutely nothing to get us off oil and promote alternative energy. It’s all lip service and hot air. We are way worse off than we were in the ‘70s, and they’ve had almost 40 years to do something about it.
So what do you do? I’ll tell you: You figure out who’s in office and you vote them out of office, every time! The politicians won’t fix the system because they are on the take. How would you like a job in which you are treated as royalty, immune to the very laws you create, and you can vote yourself a pay raise anytime you like? Not to mention all the payoffs from lobbyists, and pensions to die for. It’s just wrong. So, do the right thing and vote them out. Keep voting them out. Maybe eventually things will get better.

Agree totally! The most patriotic and responsible vote this year is to vote out the incumbent or incumbent party in every office….Politicians and diapers should be changed often and for the same reason.
