The afternoon show at The Grey Eagle also includes the debut screening of of VIA’s short film Firefly. Girls Rock supporters are also invited to the camp’s showcase on June 22 at Salvage Station.
Kare Strong, Lucy Ray and Aileen “Big Al” Pearlman will perform at the first iteration of this showcase of female-made music. The event takes place at The BLOCK Off Biltmore on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Nonprofit Girls Rock Asheville organization has been putting on its annual summer camp since 2014. As a means of raising funds — and also letting adult women in on the fun — the organization created Ladies Rock Camp, which runs Friday through Sunday, March 11-13.
Adrienne Ammerman will perform songs from her debut album, The Hunt, at The Crow and Quill Friday, Dec. 4. The show includes performances by local experimental artists Lush Agave and Elisa Faires.
Girls Rock Asheville is a six-day camp for girls ages 8 to 16. With no previous experience required, campers learn about making music, and working as a team. The camp culminates in a pair of showcase concerts at The Mothlight on Saturday, June 27.
