Folk-rock troubadour Langhorne Slim is known for spending nine months of the year on the road. He’s a true road warrior who’s built a dedicated fan base through constant touring, lots of festival dates and live shows that pair roadhouse grit with tent revival soul — and he’ll return to The Grey Eagle on Thursday, April 30.

Last week’s two-night run of shows at the Grey Eagle turned up excellent images, and we’ve saved some of the best for last, along with one more exclusive performance video.
Half way through a two night run at The Grey Eagle (recorded by Echo Mountain for a live album), Langhorne Slim played a private show for Xpress.
Slim, with his band The Law, plays two Asheville shows (tonight and tomorrow). Echo Mountain will record the concerts.
No one seemed more surprised than Langhorne Slim himself that his Jan. 21 show sold out. Hopefully that’s enough incentive for the thrash-folk musician to come back to Asheville soon.
