Press release from Beverly-Hanks & Associates:
Help prevent Yancey County children from going hungry on weekends. The Beverly-Hanks Burnsville office, 369 West US 19-E, Burnsville, will be collecting non-perishable food items for Feed-a-Child Yancey on Thursday, July 12 from 4:00–6:00pm.
“We are proud to support such an important community organization that is making a difference in Yancey County,” said Michael Phelan, Vice President of Marketing at Beverly-Hanks. “Every child should have access to healthy, filling food at school and at home when school is out of session.”
Beverly-Hanks’ goal is to fill a truck so that Feed-a-Child Yancey has the supplies needed to serve our community. The dedicated, local nonprofit collects and distributes food through our schools based on the recommendations of school nurses, counselors, principals, and teachers. A list of suggested items can be found at beverly-hanks.com/blog/fill-this-truck-feed-a-child.
“Bring a couple items or a whole armload—every bit makes a big difference,” said Elaine Ingle, Branch Manager for Burnsville. “And please stick around after you put your items in the truck. We’d love to shake your hand and say thanks.”
After making your donation, Beverly-Hanks invites donors and the community to enjoy local barbecue and desserts at an office open house celebration.
