In an email newsletter set out today, Harvest Records announced three special events concurrent with Moogfest.
• The Field performs in-store on Friday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m. Writes Harvest, “Directly following The Field’s performance at Harvest, we will be giving away a free Saturday day pass to Moogfest!”
• An exclusive early release and in-store listening party for Brian Eno‘s new EP, Panic of Looking. Saturday, Oct. 29 at noon. Says Harvest, “In celebration of Eno’s presentation of 77 Million Paintings at Moogfest 2011, we are delighted to announce that the EP will receive an exclusive early release at the festival and its hometown Asheville’s Harvest Records. In addition, Warp is hosting a listening party for the EP at Harvest Records … Attendees will receive a Warp download sampler created especially for Moogfest 2011. Harvest will be providing a keg of beer from Foothills Brewery, plus snacks and cupcakes and tons o’ fun! The EP will be on sale for $9.99 cd/$15.99 vinyl!”
• The Drums perform in-store on Sunday, Oct. 30, 4 p.m. Their new album is Portamento.
