Smart bet web extra: Ben Kronberg

“If comedy doesn’t work out,” says comedian Ben Kronberg, “which eventually it always doesn’t, I want to open up a low-carb chinese restaurant. And I want to call it, No More Mr. Rice Guy.”

(OK, so it’s a lot funnier when he tells it, I promise. Watch the highlights from Kronberg’s stand-up special on Comedy Central Lexington Avenue Brewery on Thursday, March 20 at 8 p.m.

Kronberg’s joke style is classic. His deadpan delivery of one liners is only enhanced by his Grizzly Adams-esque facial hair and his multi-instrumental musical talent. Crocs, farts, step-dads and ex-girlfriends have provided a wealth of material satisfy laugh-hungry audiences.

Joining Kronberg will be Asheville Disclaimer’s own Tom Scheve, along with Cary Goff, Minori Hinds and Jason Webb.

$5/$8. More information and tickets here.
