A-B Tech commencement ceremony scheduled for May 17

What: A-B Tech Community College commencement ceremony

When: 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17

Where: U.S. Cellular Center

Who: Nearly 1,200 students will be candidates for degrees and diplomas. A-B Tech President Emeritus and former Buncombe County Commissioner K. Ray Bailey will be the commencement speaker.

One of 58 colleges in the North Carolina Community College System, A-B Tech offers associate degrees, diplomas or certificates in more than 50 curriculum programs through its five academic divisions – Allied Health and Public Service Education, Arts and Sciences, Business and Hospitality Education, Emergency Services and Engineering and Applied Technology. The Division of Economic and Workforce Development/Continuing Education offers opportunities for specific job training and retraining and personal enrichment classes.
