Asheville Housing Fair hosted at Stephens Lee Center September 19

The city of Asheville and the Land of the Sky Association of Realtors have teamed up to host the 2015 Asheville Housing Fair on September 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Stephens Lee Center, according to a press release from the city.

This year’s housing fair will provide homeowners and residents with information regarding credit issues, renting a home or apartment, vacation rental properties and other relevant topics. The event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from over 20 local nonprofit organizations will also be on hand to provide information related to affordable housing inquiries. Several workshops dealing with the various aspects of renting and home ownership will be held during the event as well. In addition, there will be a tiny home exhibition held in the Stephens Lee Center parking lot, with two tiny homes on display for residents to view.

Asheville Housing Fair happens Sept. 19
ASHEVILLE – The City of Asheville and Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® invite members of the media to the 2015 Asheville Housing Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Stephens Lee Center, 30 George Washington Carver Ave.

This event is free and open to the public and will guide consumers and homeowners through questions surrounding credit, renting, vacation rentals and more.

Representatives from more than 20 nonprofit organizations and associations will be on site to provide information and one-on-one assistance to persons seeking to learn more about affordable housing options.

A series of workshops will be held, including:

– Living in 120 Square Feet – Life in a Tiny Home
– Learn Your Rights as a Renter
– Credit: Get It. Keep It. Improve It
– The ABCs of Home Buying
– What is an Accessory Dwelling Unit?
– Homestays
– Landlords are Part of the Solution
– Everything You Wanted to Know About Affordable Housing

A tiny home exhibition will be on display in the Stephens Lee Center parking lot. Two Tiny Homes will be on display.
