YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly harvests for the hungry

Over the course of the summer, a collaboration between the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly and Asheville-based CTI Group Adventures resulted in food for hungry families in Western North Carolina.

Feed My People, a mission trip package offered through CTI, has given young people from all over the southeastern United States a unique opportunity to tour the area while giving back.

For the past three years, the Feed My People program has combined traditional trips to the area, like zip lining, rafting, or scenic tours, with far less traditional activities like cultivating, planting, and harvesting crops grown around the area in an effort to help locals in need.
