Chef Mo hosts a wine dinner of traditional Mexican cuisine, Oct. 24

Chef Mo Abreu of Chef Mo’s restaurant, 900 Hendersonville Rd., will host a wine dinner featuring dishes to honor his mother and grandmother from his native Mexico City. Here are the details from the press release:

Chef Mauricio Abreu of Chef’s Mo’s Original Restaurant and Bar is recreating the dishes of his childhood. He grew up in Mexico City and learned to cook the delicious foods of the region from his mother and grandmother. Now, in memory of these two influences he is recreating their favorite dishes in for a special wine tasting and dinner. The meal will include hors d’oeuvres, soup, salad , entrees and desserts along with special wines paired with each. Debbie Landers from Tryon Distributing will be choosing the wine selection for the evening. The dinner is scheduled for October 24 th. Chef Mo’s Original Restaurant is a quiet neighborhood restaurant and bar with a charming and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is located in Suite 201, 900 Hendersonville Road between the Ingles and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The south Asheville location is conveniently located within easy reach of Oakley, Biltmore Forest, Arden, Skyland and the surrounding areas. Chef Mo’s is open for lunch and dinner, 6 days a week and also has a large and spacious private dining room.
