WOODFIN — A body was discovered by a kayaker in the French Broad River Saturday, but authorities cannot yet identify the person or say when or how he died.
The Woodfin Police Department got a call at about 4:17 p.m. Saturday about a body in the river, said Police Sgt. Michael Dykes. “We finally located it about 30 yards offshore behind Craggy Prison,” he said.
