Citywide cleanup day this Saturday

It’s simple:

You register your neighborhood, club, business, church or group for the inaugural Asheville Citywide Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can choose to clean up a street, a stream, a park, a roadside, a parking lot or any other common area to remove litter and leaf debris.

The Asheville GreenWorks will supply tools, safety vests, bags and gloves for your cleanup.

After your cleanup, report your location and amount of trash collected back to GreenWorks and they will arrange to have your trash picked up at no charge.

Register Your Neighborhood for Citywide Cleanup Day, April 18th

Get your neighborhood in ship shape for spring by participating in the Citywide Neighborhood Cleanup on April 18th. You can clean up in front of your house, along your block or anywhere in your neighborhood to make your community SHINE. Asheville GreenWorks will provide cleanup materials; you provide the energy. Together we’ll make our community clean and green!

The Details:

What: Inaugural Asheville City Wide Neighborhood Cleanup Day with Asheville GreenWorks and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 18

Where: Every Asheville neighborhood. Neighborhood captains will pick up gear at Asheville GreenWorks, 318 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC 28801, for cleanup volunteers.

Who: Anybody, any age, part of an organized group or individuals, who wants to help clean up a street, a stream, a park, a roadside, parking lot, or other common area to remove litter and leaf debris.
