Here’s the press release from the campaign of Democrat Patsy Keever, who’s challenging Republican incumbent Rep. Patrick McHenry in the 10th District congressional race:
Asheville, NC— The Keever Campaign released the following statement today regarding Representative Keever’s schedule for the final week of her campaign.
“Beginning today the Keever Campaign has planned an aggressive GOTV tour of all seven counties that fall within the 10th Congressional District,” said Keever Field Director John Erwin. “Between now and election day, Representative Keever will be in Polk, Lincoln, Cleveland, Catawba, Rutherford, Gaston and Buncombe counties (in that order) and will then re-visit all seven counties on Election Day.”
“I’m so happy to be getting out there again in this final week to make my case directly to voters,” said Keever. “We don’t have $400,000 from financial special interests like my opponent does, so we are doing this the old-fashioned way – volunteers call voters, they knock on doors and they work the polls. This week I’ll be out there too.”
“Patsy has of course been engaging voters one-on-one throughout the course of this campaign. This seven county tour is our final push to make sure that the people of the 10th District know that they have someone on the ballot who will work for their interests, not for a political party or special interests,” said Keever campaign manager Bruce Mulkey.
Representative Keever will be visiting early vote locations in every county until November 3 and will be joining canvass teams and phone bankers all over the district. On Election Day, she will be traveling to two polling places in every county to visit with voters and cheer them on as they participate in the Democratic process.
