Meadows tapped for leadership role on Oversight Committee

Here’s the press release from the office of Rep. Mark Meadows:

Washington, D.C. – After showing leadership on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Representative Mark Meadows (NC-11) will now be serving as the Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations. Chairman Issa and Representative Meadows had the following to say about the new assignment:

“Doing more with less is something that America’s small business job creators understand and Rep. Meadow’s small business leadership experience is extremely valuable for the committee,” said Chairman Issa. “Rep. Meadows has already been making important contributions to the agenda of the Government Operations Subcommittee, which is charged with saving money by making government work better, and his role as Vice-Chair will increase his involvement.”

“I am honored to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Government Operations,” said Meadows. “As a small business owner for 27 years, I was proud to receive the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform assignment in January. Under Chairman Issa’s watch, the committee has aggressively investigated job-killing regulations that have put businesses out of work and sought to reform our broken government. I am committed to working with Chairman Issa to streamline how our government operates so it becomes more efficient, less costly and accountable to the American people.”
