Based on Roald Dahl’s legendary children’s novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Willy Wonka, Jr. is vivid musical that features a songs from the classic 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. At the center of this story is the enigmatic candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka; who stages a contest by hiding five golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whoever finds these rare tickets will win a free tour of the mysterious Wonka Factory and a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likable young lad named Charlie Bucket who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather.
