From a more colorful foyer to an arena with top-notch sound, lighting systems, new seating, and an enhanced concession area serving local craft beer, the venerable Asheville Civic Center will be undergoing some exciting changes over the next year — just in time for the return of the Southern Conference men’s basketball tournament in March of 2012.
Xpress staff reporters Michael Muller and Jake Frankel speak with Sam Powers, General Manager of the Civic Center and Director of Economic Development for the City of Asheville.
