Blog Log: The week in local blogging

Ah, spring. Or is it? Touchy weather lately, so let’s look at the signs.
A Year in Asheville got sunburned in between snowstorms, so that sounds about right.

Gardens are getting planted, both the aboveboard kind and the guerrilla garden “Seed Bombs” urged on by Small Measure.

We also had a holiday known as Easter, prompting Mike Valentino to write a thank you note to the special day’s two special guys.

And, as sometimes happens in Asheville, there are people dressed like chickens, as evidenced by The Ashevillein. So that sounds positive.

But we also had another high-profile event: Tax day and all of its weirdness. The Hangover Journals paid for the first time, but that’s not all that was new.

As at locations around the rest of the nation, Tea Parties went down in WNC on April 15, and Thunderpig got video of the Franklin demonstration while Ashvegas took photos here in Asheville. Randallt, however has a different take on the whole hoopla, while Where’s the Outrage? thought a T-party should have been a better guest of honor.
